Hi, I’m Phoenix — a passionate wedding officiant serving Minneapolis and beyond.

Since 2020, I’ve had the joy and privilege of writing and performing personalized wedding ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique love story. What started five years ago as helping out with my mom’s wedding business, Vows with Angie, turned into a calling I absolutely love.

From setting up chairs to standing at the altar, I’ve learned what it takes to create a meaningful, memorable ceremony. Today, I bring that experience to couples of all backgrounds—crafting inclusive, heartfelt ceremonies that honor love in all its forms.

Whether you’re planning a cozy backyard elopement or a big celebration, I’m here to make your day feel authentic, joyful, and fully you.

What to Expect on Your Wedding Day

Here’s what I do to help your ceremony go smoothly

Final run-through: I check in with the wedding party to confirm everyone is ready, then we’re good to go.

I arrive early—usually about an hour before the ceremony—so everything is ready and there’s time to handle any last-minute details.

Sound check: I coordinate with the DJ to make sure the mic is working perfectly. If I’m bringing my own, I get it set up and tested.

Ceremony space check: I make sure everything is where it should be, including any special elements like unity rituals.

Pre-ceremony check-ins: I meet with each of you individually to answer questions, offer support, and make sure you feel grounded and ready.

Readers or speakers? I’ll check in with them too—making sure they have what they need and feel confident about their part.

Marriage license: If it needs to be signed before the ceremony, I’ll help get that taken care of.
